Affiliate Programme Terms
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These terms govern the Iris affiliate programme (the “programme”) operated by Iris Technology Development Ltd(“Iris”, “we”, “us”). The programme pays a reward to approved members (“members”, “you”) when someone subscribes to Iris through their referral. They apply alongside our website Terms and Privacy Notice, which cover everything the programme does not change.
1. What this programme is
The programme is a single-tier referral scheme. Rewards come only from paid subscriptions you personally refer. There is no reward of any kind for recruiting other members, no commission from anyone else’s referrals, and no structure of levels beneath or above you.
2. Joining
- Membership is by application. Apply through the form on our affiliates page; we review applications by hand and reply either way. We may decline applications or end memberships at our discretion.
- One member account per person. Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
- Joining is free. Nothing may ever be purchased from us to join or remain in the programme. There are no fees, no starter packs, no inventory, and no minimum purchases, because there is nothing to purchase.
3. What we never ask of you
You decide whether to recommend Iris, where, how often, and in your own words. The programme imposes no quotas, posting schedules, hours, sales targets, scripts, training requirements, or reporting lines, and nobody at Iris directs or supervises your activity. You can stop participating at any time, without penalty; stopping only ends future rewards.
4. Your relationship with us
The programme is an independent referral arrangement and nothing else. It does not create employment, self-employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture. You do not speak for Iris, you cannot enter agreements on our behalf, and you must not present yourself as our employee, agent, or representative.
5. Rewards
- For each person who subscribes to a paid Iris subscription through your referral link and remains an active paying subscriber during a calendar month, we credit £5 for that month, for as long as they remain active.
- Referred subscribers receive 50% off their first two months through your link, on the subscription terms shown at our pricing page.
- Rewards accrue monthly in arrears and are paid in pounds sterling by bank transfer (or PayPal, by agreement), monthly, for rewards earned in the preceding month.
- While your membership is active we also provide you complimentary access to Iris itself, at no charge. This ends when your membership ends; at that point any complimentary subscription is cancelled or, if you prefer to keep one, moved onto standard pricing.
- If a referred subscription is cancelled, refunded, or subject to a chargeback, the corresponding rewards are reversed or deducted.
- The reward rate may change. We will give reasonable notice before any change takes effect, and changes apply going forward only.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. Rewards are not wages or salary, and we do not operate PAYE on them.
6. Honest promotion
Under the UK CAP Code, a recommendation made for reward counts as advertising and must be identifiable as advertising. Responsibility for that can fall on us as well as on you, so:
- Disclose your financial relationship clearly whenever you recommend Iris publicly. A short label such as “Ad” or “Affiliate link” is normally enough. For example:
- Never state or imply earnings we have not published, and never claim results from Iris that it does not deliver.
- No spam: no unsolicited bulk email, direct messages, or comments, and comply with applicable law (including PECR where it applies) when contacting anyone about Iris.
- Do not otherwise misrepresent Iris, its pricing, or this programme.
7. Genuine subscribers only
Rewards thank genuine recommendations that lead to genuine customers. You must not:
- refer yourself, or subscribe through your own link;
- create or control subscriber accounts (including accounts for people in your household) in order to generate rewards;
- pay or incentivise other people to subscribe through your link beyond the discounts the programme itself provides;
- otherwise claim a subscription that did not genuinely come from you.
We may withhold, void, or reclaim rewards where we reasonably believe this section has been breached, and end a membership immediately for fraud or spam.
8. Using the Iris name
You may refer to Iris truthfully and describe your own experience of it. Beyond what is needed to identify us honestly, no licence over our names or logos is granted. You must not imply that Iris endorses you, that your employer or institution endorses Iris, or that you act for us.
9. Data protection
If you tell your own contacts about Iris, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact them. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data we hold, including applications and referral records. Each of us acts as an independent controller of our own activities under UK GDPR.
10. Ending the arrangement
- Either side may end participation at any time. An email is enough.
- When membership ends, rewards already accrued on genuine subscriptions are paid in the normal cycle; no further rewards accrue afterwards.
- We may end a membership immediately for a serious breach of section 6 or 7, and may withhold rewards attributable to that breach.
- Sections 6, 7, 9, 12, and 13 survive the end of a membership, along with any accrued payment obligations. Any complimentary subscription provided under clause 5 ends when membership ends.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the programme develops. Material changes will be notified to members by email with reasonable notice and take effect going forward. Continuing to participate after notice means you accept the updated terms.
12. No guaranteed income
The programme is not a promise of income. Rewards depend entirely on genuine paid subscriptions arising from genuine recommendations, and any illustrative figures we publish assume referred subscribers remain subscribed. The programme is not employment, investment, or a business opportunity, and never requires payment of any kind.
13. Contact, law, and courts
